SCOTT FERBER

Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

  • Ferber has spent his career utilizing mathematics and data analysis to build profitable businesses and products. His most notable success was founding Advertising.com in 1998, which was eventually sold to AOL in 2004 for nearly half a billion dollars. In his role as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Ferber was responsible for the company’s stellar operating performance, strategic vision and continued development of its award-winning, proprietary optimization technology.


    Prior to Advertising.com, Ferber held roles at Fortune 500 companies such as Procter & Gamble, where he developed computer systems and mathematical models to create business practices for plant production and raw material procurement, and Capital One Financial Corporation, where he leveraged statistical approaches to marketing and financial risk management to develop new businesses outside of the credit card industry.


    Due to his outstanding accomplishments, Ferber has received numerous awards including Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000, CEO of the Year by Blue Chip Venture Company, the American Business Award’s “Stevie” for Best Executive in 2005, the Outstanding Young Engineering Graduate Award 2006 from the University of Virginia, and was named an Influential Marylander by The Daily Record in 2009.


    Ferber graduate summa cum laude with a B.S. degree from the University of Virginia, Dept of Systems Engineering in 1991, and a M.S. from the Stanford University, Dept of Engineering-Economic Systems in 1992.




MIKE WOOSLEY

Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer

  • Previously, Woosley served as Chief Financial Officer of BDMetrics, a venture-backed company that provides interactive media tools for the trade show and business-to-business media industry, serving more than half of the largest trade shows in the United States.


    Woosley served as a founding member and Chief Financial Officer of Advertising.com, which grew to over $200 million in annual revenue when it was sold to AOL in August 2004. Woosley also spent three years at Mars & Co., a French strategic consulting organization, typically working on merger and acquisition transactions in the energy industry and solving issues related to valuation, contingent assets and liabilities, legal and antitrust, and general issues of finance.


    Woosley launched his career in engineering, and he has worked at Los Alamos and Oak Ridge National Laboratories and for the Atomic Energy Commission of France. He graduated with honors from the University of Virginia, earning B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees.


    Woosley is currently the operations manager for Team Jefferson, a team that builds autonomous mobile robots, which has competed in the 2005 DARPA Desert Challenge and the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge.




TOM LANG

Chief Technology Officer

  • Lang is the founder and CEO of the Baltimore-based information technology services company, LCG Technologies Corporation (LCG). Since 1994, LCG has provided business-driven technology solutions to small to mid-market businesses in the Mid-Atlantic region and Midwestern states.


    Lang has more than 20 years of experience in the information technology industry in key technical and executive positions. Prior to founding LCG, Lang worked for Procter & Gamble (P&G) for 9 years, assuming numerous technical and management positions within the information technology area throughout the company. Lang was also responsible for many projects throughout his 9 year tenure, including technology centralization and standardization efforts within the paper and soap divisions of P&G.


    Lang is both the executive and technology leader within LCG, providing corporate management and leadership, as well as strategic, technical leadership in all client projects. Lang has also held key leadership positions with some of the key clients over the history of LCG. The most recent position was CTO with Advertising.com from early-2004 through 2006.


    Lang graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Computer Engineering.




ROBERT QUICKSILVER

Chief Content Officer

  • Quicksilver oversees all content acquisition, publisher development and strategy for TidalTV. Quicksilver has over fifteen years of senior executive level experience in local television, network television and digital media. Prior to joining TidalTV, Quicksilver played a key role in developing a local video content initiative for Yahoo! Media Group and securing an agreement with the CBS Television Station Group in October 2006. That agreement represented the first time that a major broadcast station group had syndicated its local video content to an unaffiliated portal.


    From 1999-2005, Quicksilver served as President, Network Distribution, FOX Broadcast Company, where he oversaw the business relationship between FOX and its U.S. distribution network of over 180 affiliate stations. In that role, he helped formulate and implement FOX’s entertainment, sports, news, promotion, distribution, and digital media initiatives across that affiliate body. During his tenure at FOX, Quicksilver was actively involved in a number of broadcast-based regulatory initiatives and, for one year, ran the News Corporation government relations office in Washington D.C., in addition to his network duties.


    Prior to FOX, Quicksilver served as Vice President, General Counsel, of Sinclair Broadcast Group, a publicly traded local television station group, and prior to that, as Vice President, General Counsel, of River City Broadcasting, a privately held station group.


    Quicksilver has a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and B.A. from Dartmouth College, where he graduated summa cum laude.




TOM MCMAHON

Chief Revenue Officer

  • Tom McMahon is Chief Revenue Officer of online video advertising network TidalTV.


    Before joining TidalTV, McMahon served as Senior Vice President, Operations for AOL Media Networks, and, previously, as SVP, Corporate Development and General Counsel for AOL’s Advertising.com subsidiary for nearly seven years.


    Prior to joining Advertising.com, McMahon was an associate in the corporate and private equity groups at Hogan & Hartson, LLP, one of Washington D.C.’s top law firms.




BRIAN DANZIS

Vice President, National Advertising Sales

  • Prior to TidalTV, Danzis held numerous advertising sales positions at both major media companies and up-starts.


    Most recently, Danzis was the Vice President of Sales, North America for Ripe Digital Entertainment where he was responsible for the management of a national sales team and strategic development of the company’s core offering. Prior to Ripe, Danzis’ entré into the online video space began with Joost, where he served as Director of Advertising Sales for the Eastern Region . At Joost, he was instrumental in coordinating launch sponsorships from over a dozen blue chip advertisers.


    Danzis joined Massive, Inc., the leader in dynamic in-video game advertising, in 2004 as the company’s first sales person. Massive was acquired by Microsoft in 2006. Prior to Massive he held sales positions at Comcast Cable Networks and Turner Broadcasting.


    Danzis holds a B.A. in Politics & Government, with Honors, from Ohio Wesleyan University. He lives in Pelham, NY with his wife Stacie and daughter Taylor.




STEVEN SACKEY

Vice President, National Advertising Sales

  • Prior to joining TidalTV, Sackey was a initial member of the Advertising.com staff, a leading provider in results-based interactive marketing services to advertisers and publishers.


    Most recently Sackey served as Director of Strategy for the Midwest and Northeast regions at Advertising.com, and help to generate more than $130 million in advertising revenue. His other roles at Advertising.com included Midwest Sales Manager and Director of Publisher Services


    Sackey also held sales positions at IKON Office Solutions and American Flat Glass Distributors.


    Sackey graduated from Ithaca College with a B.A. degree in Sociology and a minor in Psychology.




MARK MCKEE

Vice President, Marketing

  • With more than 10 years experience in television, advertising and online media, Mark McKee now heads-up marketing at Tidal TV.


    Prior to joining TidalTV, McKee served as Vice President of Sales Strategy for Joost where he was responsible for the positioning, development and launch of Joost’s advertiser offering, as well as the operational deployment of advertising innovations.


    His interest in media start-ups began as Manager of Sales Strategy for Massive Incorporated, the leader in dynamic in-video game adverting, which was acquired by Microsoft. Before that, he worked with MTV Networks’ New Business Development and Sales teams in New York, developing sales strategies and cross-platform communications programs for new and existing advertisers.


    McKee also held positions at McCann Erickson New York and Fountainhead Creative, both in a business development capacity.


    He graduated from Union College in Schenectady, NY with a B.A. degree in Political Science and Theatre.




JOHN ROGERS

Vice President, Publisher Services

  • Rogers leads TidalTV’s publisher relationships including inventory acquisition and management.


    Prior to joining TidalTV, Rogers led multiple sales and customer service positions, most notably as Vice President of Publisher Services at Advertising.com. He managed all publisher relationships nationwide and oversaw teams in New York, San Francisco and Baltimore. Under Rogers, the Advertising.com display network grew to be the largest ad-supported internet entity in the US.


    Rogers also held sales, sales training and management roles at MCI, USinternetworking and Ninth House.


    He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Business and a B.S. in Psychology.
